My name is Melissa, and I am an emerging textile artist based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

With a background in Graphic Design and Costume Design, I’ve come to realise how important it is to slow down, be present and enjoy the process of creating. What better way to do that than through the mindful art of stitching?

My work is influenced by traditional Kantha and Sashiko techniques, and I am also passionate about finding sustainable ways to repurpose fabric and lace waste from my costuming projects. Always inspired by the Australian land, bush flowers and their colours.

Through stitch art, I love giving beautiful discarded materials a new life—one stitch at a time.
